HIGH-EFFICIENCY ELECTRIC HOME REBATE ACT
Here are the caps on rebates for other upgrades made via the HEEHRA program:

There is a $14000 cap on the dollar amount of rebates offered under the program. For instance, low-income homeowners can get up to 100% of electrification projects covered - up to the cap of $14000 in rebates - while middle-income consumers can get up to 50% of their costs covered by the rebates (also up to that $14000 cap).
ENERGY STAR FEDERAL TAX REBATES
Get a tax credit of 10% of cost up to $500 or a specific amount from $50-$300 on certain system installations. Must be within an existing home and your principal residence. New construction and rentals do not apply.

They have been very good for cleaning and maintenance on my air conditioner and furnace. The technicians are thoughtful and thorough when checking things to make sure everything is running smoothly. Also they give suggestions but are not pushy about items that are optional. Levi and Eric were both helpful in getting the maintenance done on my systems and giving suggestions on things that may need to be addressed.

I deeply regret choosing Home Town Heros HVAC. I went with them because of the lower price point on the unit, but I quickly learned that the lack of honor and technical knowledge was not worth the savings. From day one, the experience was poor. The installation crew lacked professionalism and the quality of the install itself was sloppy. It was immediately clear they didn’t fully understand the solution they were delivering. The biggest issue, however, was their incompetence with the thermostat configuration. They improperly configured the system during installation, which resulted in me paying outrageously high heating bills for months. When I called them to fix it, they had the audacity to charge me a service fee just to update the thermostat to the settings they should have set correctly in the first place. To make matters worse, I have held a service plan with them for two years. Despite regular "maintenance" checks, they never caught this glaring configuration error. Instead of owning their mistake, they blamed me, claiming I must have changed the settings myself. The lack of accountability is astounding. If you are looking for a company that stands by their work and admits when they are wrong, look elsewhere. I wish I had gone with a more reputable company from the start.
Jose and Tyler were very professional and nice! They explained what they were going to do and what smells to expect turning on the new furnance. Tyler showed me how to change the filter and when to change it along with programming the new thermostat. I highly recommend them and this company!
Lloyd was fantastic and went through all the furnace parts with me and explained what was going on. I had another company say it needed replaced with no testing and let’s just say Hometown has my business from here on out!
