In 2021, HVAC industry veteran and Kansas City local Andrew Hay founded Hometown Heroes. His mission? To bring the industry back to form, which to Andrew meant local first.

Local first for us means treating every customer like a neighbor, finding equipment and manufacturing partners who live nearby, and reinvesting our profits back into the community.

Hometown Heroes may be a new face on the block. But we’ve lived and worked in the Kansas City area for decades, and we’ve been blessed with some of the best talent thanks to our local-first mission. Thousands of customers have given us their 5-star sign of approval, and we hope to earn yours the next time you need heating, cooling, or plumbing service!

Local first isn’t just something we say. It changes every aspect of how we do business:

We believe in “Relationships Over Revenue”

• We never prioritize our agenda over your comfort. We listen to our customers and meet them where they are, always.
• Our approach is personal. We’ve been known to bring in temporary heating and cooling units to get our customers through a rough stretch between installations. And we keep dog treats close by for the goodest of boys!

We believe in “Communities Over Corporations”

• We’ve got discounts for our local heroes: 10% for first responders, military, and teachers; 5% for seniors and single parents.
• We source parts and equipment locally whenever possible. For example, we rely on Owens Corning insulation, a fantastic company with a lifetime product guarantee based right here in KC!

We believe in “People Over Profit”

• Hometown Heroes works with local non-profits to support at-risk veterans, children, and animals in our community. We are Kansas City's only HVAC company with a formal pledge to donate a portion of our profits to these organizations.
• A portion of the profits we generate goes toward training our technicians and plumbers. As American Standard Platinum Certified Dealers, every one of our technicians is factory-trained and highly qualified to work on your HVAC system.

Hometown Heroes works with local community partners to bring relief to those in need throughout Kansas City.

The purpose of KC Pet Project is to provide shelter and animal services to the community of Kansas City by placing pets into homes with families and being a resource to people and pets in our community.

Veterans Community Project provides high quality and well-developed strategic services that enable Veterans to meet challenges of day-to-day living, and move toward permanent stability.

The mission of Happy Bottoms is to collaborate with the community to empower, connect and impact families by alleviating diaper needs.
